this week i decided to have fun with my self-portraits. setting up the background allowed me to experiment with my creativity and make something fun and colourful. in that way, i think the set-up also represents me as a person; it showcases my creativity as well as (what i'd like to think) is my "fun" personality. when my cat hopped onto the bed i thought "perfect!" i was glad i got to include her in my self-portraits, she's so important to me - especially during quarantine when there's not much to do other than hang out with your pets!

i had a lot of fun this week taking these photos, the fish eye lens was something i had never used before, and i love the effect it gave the photos. i took the photos around 2pm with the blinds open and the ceiling light on - this was ideal for my set up as any later in the day the flowers would have made even harsher shadows on the wall. overall, i'm pleased with how the photos turned out, but mostly pleased with the experience of taking them.
